Its incredible to me how stupid some people can be. They can only seem to see from their own point of view and they cant seem to see at all how destructive are they to their own cause.
So these guys are fans of Man U.
So these guys HATE some arrogant loud american old fart coming to buy their club.
So the american old fart has the power of money and has his way with things.
So now the club is in the hands or almost in the hands of the old fart.
What to do?
Hit back at the old fart. Hurt his finances. Boycott the club! Dont buy club merchandise! Dont buy tickets! Dont support the sponsors!!!
Okay, say you have your way. Club finances hurt, Old fart losing money. Club not viable as business for old fart or anyone for that matter.
You win.
You got your way.
Then how? Club is almost bankrupted. What can old fart do? He is not another rich russian with billions to pour into getting new players and all that. He may go bankrupt.
You have achieved your final aim. Yeah! That will show those americans how they cant mess with us. Yeah.
Along anywhere did you not notice that as you destroyed Malcom Glazer that you have also destroyed your own club?
Oh by the way, he still has other business interests that he owns separately that he can still use to feed his family.
You on the other hand,
1) Showed that Man U fans are not to be messed about (yeah!!! good for you!)
2) Saved money by not buying club merchandise and not renewing your season ticket (that will help the overdraft!)
3) Erm, will be left with a club in the conference. (or third division if you are lucky)
Thank goodness I am not a Man U supporter. Sad to be surrounded by such nitwits.
Ever notice how different the supporters of Arsenal are?
Glazer statement infuriates fans
From http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/4545339.stm
Manchester United supporters have reacted angrily to a statement from Malcolm Glazer's son Joel saying his family are "avid United fans".
Glazer now owns 74.81% of United shares and only needs 75% to delist the club from the Stock Exchange.
Independent Manchester United Supporters' Association spokesman Mark Longden said: "That statement is an insult to human intelligence.
"Does this guy really think anyone will actually believe him?"
Longden added: "Maybe it should not be a surprise given what has gone before, but the ignorance of the Glazers about ordinary Manchester United fans is truly astonishing."
Fans have vowed to continue their battle against the Glazer family, calling for a mass boycott of club merchandise and the products of major club sponsors Vodafone and Nike.
We're confident we can affect turnover so it will make it impossible for him to continue
Sean Bones
Shareholders United
"The most recent poll suggested 93% of United fans were totally opposed to Malcolm Glazer's involvement with the club," said Shareholders United vice-chairman Sean Bones.
"He has to launch some kind of charm offensive and this is probably the start.
"But I doubt very much anyone will be taken in by it and our fight to get rid of him continues.
"We are urging all supporters to boycott any club merchandise and even refuse to buy a pint and a pie inside the ground on match days.
"Sponsors' products should also be avoided and eventually we hope the message will get through.
"We now know how much debt he has taken on. We know he has massive repayments to service and we are confident we can affect club turnover to such an extent it will be impossible for him to continue."
